"I am with you because you remember me" Aethel Burr Muse

Aethel B. Muse, 100, of Darlington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She had been a resident of the Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls, for the past ten years.
Aethel was born November 30, 1912 in Dorset, OH, a daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Inman Burr. She was a 1931 graduate of Dorset High School, where she was valedictorian. She married Homer M. Muse on September 2, 1933 in Dorset, and had moved to the Beaver Falls area in 1961 from Lisbon, OH, and she and her husband had owned and operated the Tasty Bakery in Beaver Falls until his death in 1962.
She was a member of the Otterbein Methodist Church of Beaver Falls, as well as the United Methodist Women, both since 1970. She had taught the Adult Sunday School Class of the church for many years, and assisted with the Vacation Bible School. Aethel was a teacher with the Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, a sister, Ardell McCourt in 1999, and a son, Carl Muse in 2007.
Aethel is survived by a daughter and her husband, Nadlynn and Chester Caler of Darlington, and two granddaughters, Beth (Don) DeVault, Monaca, and Jo Ann (Brian) Weaver, Pittsburgh. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Jordon DeVault, and Kelly and Aaron Weaver, several nieces and nephews, as well as her friends at Providence Care Center.
She is laid  to rest in Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, OH.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Cannelton Baptist Church, Darlington, with Rev. Dale Regner of the church officiating, and assisted by Rev. James Allison of the Fisher of Boys. The family asked that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, 329 Valley Drive, Rochester, PA 15074. Arrangements were with the OLIVER-LINSLEY FUNERAL HOME, 644 East Main St., East Palestine, Ohio.
The family would like to thank everyone at Providence Care Center who took excellent care of her. God Bless You.

I learned of Aethel's passing from my aunt Olive. She emailed me and I found her obituary online. I created this place for her here amongst our family and friends.
