August 2, 1956 -  April 26, 2009

Reese L. Fesmire, 52, of Erie, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center.
He was born August 2, 1956 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., son of the late John L. and Ida M. Patterson Fesmire. He had resided in Erie for most of his life having moved here from Daytona Beach, Fla.
Reese was a 1974 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. He was a US Army veteran. Reese was currently employed as a mail handler for the US Postal Service.
His interests and hobbies included golfing, bowling and coaching Little League baseball. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years, Arlene J. Beresford Fesmire; four children, Tim Fesmire (Nicole White), Kevin Fesmire, John Fesmire and Jimmy Fesmire, all of Erie; three brothers, James Fesmire, Ph.D. of Tampa, Fla., Jack Fesmire (wife Betty) of Palm Coast, Fla., and Frank Fesmire (wife Sue) of Pottstown, Pa.; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral was handled by Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc.,  Reese laid to rest with full military honors at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
The father of my son's friend and younger than myself, I was shocked to hear he left us and so quickly.
It just goes to show us that life is precious and we should live each day to the fullest. Reese will always have a place at Life Ever After.

Roses grow in heaven Lord, pick a bunch for me~ Place them in my Dad's arms & tell him they're from me~
Tell him that I love & miss him & when he turns to smile ~place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while ~
Because remembering him is easy ~I do it everyday~ There's an ache with in my heart that will never go away.
 I love you ...Dad!!

Hey Grandpa-to- be.  Due Date July 8th. but then you probably already knew that.

I see the countless Christmas trees
around a world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,
reflecting on the snow

This sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away your tears
For I am having Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir here.

I have no words to tell you, the joys their voices bring,
its far beyond description, to hear the Angels sing.

I know how much you miss me and I see the pain within your heart.
But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart.

So be happy for me, loved ones, You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I send you each a memory of my undying love.

After all, LOVE is a gift more precious
than pure gold it was always most important the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other like
my Father said to do for I can't count the many blessing or love has for  you.

So have a Merry Christmas and Wipe away your tears for I am spending Christmas
 with Jesus Christ this year

Merry Christmas Reese
I still miss you so much.
Love Arlene

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not're coming here to me.
